I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in working with individuals and families experiencing trauma, loss, prolonged separation, and adverse life experiences. I work with children, teens, adults, and couples, focusing much of my professional work on helping clients through relational experiences and struggles across the lifespan.

My approach to counseling centers on the relational aspects of life, particularly helping clients learn to strengthen the bonds between them and those closest to them.  I believe in fostering a safe, accepting, and supportive space for individuals, couples, and families to explore their experiences and seek resolution to areas where they feel stuck.

Some of the areas I specialize in support are:

  • Military and veterans mental health

  • Couples and marital counseling

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and families

  • Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)

  • Attachment injuries

  • Life transitions

  • Grief, loss, and separation

  • Perinatal and postpartum mental health

  • Trauma-focused approaches (TF-CBT, EMDR-trained)

  • Neurodiversity in children and adults

  • Sandtray and expressive modalities

  • Anxiety and panic

Creating a unique approach for each client is the center of my work. I enjoy integrating various approaches to help clients to resolve hurts, restore health, and work toward their desired goals and potential. I prioritize my clients feeling seen, heard, and understood in the counseling space and beyond. My goal is to help clients feel connected to their life, and to feel fulfilled in their relationships with others.

I have experience working in group practice, hospital, perinatal health, and outpatient settings. This has allowed me to understand the various approaches and needs for clients and families across the lifespan. I am an Army veteran and also a doctoral candidate; I am pursuing my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision (CES) with a passion for mentoring and leading others, and a focus for research on best practices for military families experiencing posttraumatic stress.
